No al trabajo
Me resulta curioso que cada vez más hombres hablen de cuánto les gustaría quedarse en casa cocinando y cuidando de la casa y el huerto. Lo hacen con una actitud resignada, en cuanto se han tomado un par de copas, como si fuera un sueño imposible, mientras construyen sus carreras de forma clásica, cayendo en la trampa patriarcal y capitalista.
Llamo a la revolución. Chicos, espabilaros, menos quejarse y más pasar a la acción. Porque llevo todo el día leyendo Pero este trabajo yo para qué lo hago. Estudio sociológico sobre los malestares ocultos de algunas precarias conscientes, de Rosario Hernández Catalán y me han dado ganas de revisar el Manifiesto contra el trabajo, de quemar los relojes y de reivindicar una vida con tiempo para cocinar, cuidar del huerto y vivir. Lean:

El carbón como hígado (o todo lo que he aprendido sobre el carbón en la Boda Negra)
El carbón es el hígado de la tierra, así lo consideran los indios americanos. El carbón filtra y limpia las aguas de la tierra, así como el hígado filtra y limpia nuestro torrente sanguíneo. Las jarras de uso doméstico que filtran el agua, llevan carbón en su interior. De las minas brotan torrentes de aguas cristalinas.
El carbón que utilizamos como combustible es carbón lavado, es carbón al que se le han extraído las toxinas y desechos filtrados en su interior durante milenios. Lavar el carbón para luego quemarlo es un proceso en extremo contaminante, ya que no hay lugar en nuestro cuerpo ni en nuestro planeta donde almacenar esas toxinas. Sí, creamos energía, un fuego abrasador, pero deberíamos utilizarlo con moderación y no dejarnos llevar por la avaricia de las explotaciones mineras, que generan riqueza económica para unos pocos, y dolor y miseria para muchos otros.
Por otra parte, la medicina china y la tradición popular, nos dicen que el hígado filtra las emociones y aloja la ira. Un hígado enfermo, que ya no es capaz de limpiar y filtrar de forma adecuada, provocará ira, rabia y enfado, tanto en nuestros cuerpos como en nuestro planeta.
El ser humano lleva siglos arrancándole el hígado a la tierra, extrayendo sus toxinas y abandonándolas en la naturaleza, obviando el peligro que supone hacerlo. En Asturias uno de los lugares donde se acumulan esos residuos es Cabo Negro, en la Reserva Natural de Cabo Peñas. Allí se encuentran dos calas muertas y teñidas de negro. Otro lugar donde se almacenan esos residuos es en los pulmones de los enfermos de silicosis. La minería ha violado de forma sistemática nuestras montañas, arrebatándole su órgano más preciado, y creando ira.
En esta boda queremos casarnos con el carbón puro, sin lavar, el carbón como hígado, el carbón como filtro milagroso de nuestro dolor que es capaz de limpiar y purificar nuestras aguas y nuestras vidas para así poder llegar a transformarnos en diamantes.

Almost forty years after the first installment of Mary Kelly’s germinal Post Partum Document, what is interesting today in biographical art based in the maternal? New Materialisms/New Maternalisms brings together contemporary artists whose work investigates how the circulation of images and ideologies shapes contemporary understandings of motherhood and mothering.

Preparing for the Black Wedding (letter from Annie and Beth)
Dear Collaborators,
Very soon we are all about to meet up in Gijon. Thanks to Pedro, Laboral Centro de Arte and Diana Pornoterrorista for making this all happen. Thank YOU for being willing to come join us, and work with us. We are so honored to have your participation in this great life/art experiment.
Our intention is to all get together and explore what ecosexuality is, and what it can become, by changing the metaphor from Earth as mother to Earth as Lover. So we will be very romantic with our earth’s wonderful mineral, coal. So we will have a Black Wedding to Coal! Beth and I will be brides, however everyone is basically a bride or groom and can also marry the coal if you want to with us. We aim to make some good performance art, visual art, and photo/video documentation which will live on past these days. Think about what you might want to do in a wedding. For example, we have a flower girl, and our officiant. But need a ring bearer, toast master, bridal party members, etc. We use the traditional elements of a wedding, but make them very experimental. We call it radically traditional. So feel free. Bring no material gifts, your participation is the gift. You can also make decorations, boutonnières, bouquets, party favors, and other wedding items.
We speak a little spanish. But there will also be people who can help us with translation into spanish. WE’d love to have our Ecosex Manifesto translated into Spanish, if you know anyone that might want to help us do it. http://www.sexecology.org/
The reason we are marrying COAL is because coal mining can be so harmful to the environment. Gijon has some issues with the air quality, we are told. And we, Beth and Annie, have been very involved in fighting the coal mining destruction of the Appalachian Mountains where Beth is from in West Virginia. Its heart breaking what greed does to the environment and the people, plants and animals in these areas. So together with you, we will learn about the politics and the environmental issues around coal in Gijon. But also we want to really honor our Earth for all it gives us, including coal. We want to make love with nature, because nature is making love with us all the time. If this sounds crazy, well then thats fine with us! Its a hell of a lot of fun working on these ecosex wedding projects. And we really are quite confident you are going to have a wonderful time there with us in collaboration and in creative spirit.
What to bring? Bring some things you can wear for black wedding costuming. You can also have some color as well. Splashes of color look great. If you think you might like to make something, bring some materials. Ie: special papers, ribbons, rocks… Also we will do some «ecosexercises» where we spend some time in nature, —connecting sensually with the Earth. So you could also bring things like a sarong, sun lotion, water bottle, walking shoes, sandals you can wear in the sand?, feathers, hemp rope??, use your imagination. But also, you don’t have to bring a lot. We will have time to get what we need, or make it. And maybe we can share some things.
