She’s hardly ever naked because as soon as she takes off one piece of clothing, she puts on another. She dresses and undresses very slowly, with a lot of care. I love her skin-coloured bras, which always have keys hanging off them so she won’t loose them. She says that her undies are always clean, for the past few years they’ve been unstained every night. This makes her wonder if her uterus has dried up because she no longer produces juices or smells. I like my grandmother at night because she has less energy to complain and protest, she feels like talking and telling me stories about the civil war and when she lived with her family in Castellón. While she talks, I look at her and touch her. She screams and laughs. A few years ago I thought it must be sad to be a grandmother and sleep alone with nobody touching you, so I started to touch her so that she could feel human contact again.
